1. About this policy

NowNextLater (“NowNextLater”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a planning and productivity application designed primarily for adults who experience ADHD-related overwhelm, task paralysis, time blindness or difficulty prioritising.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, which service providers may process it, how long it may be retained and the choices available to you.

By using NowNextLater, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create or access a NowNextLater account using Google or Apple, we may receive:

• Your name

• Your email address

• A unique account identifier supplied by your sign-in provider

• Basic authentication information needed to keep you signed in securely

We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

Planning information

We process information that you choose to create within NowNextLater, including:

• Tasks and subtasks

• Task titles and notes

• First steps

• Priority, duration and energy settings

• NOW, NEXT and LATER task placement

• Recurring-task information

• Completed-task history

• Reminders

• Stickers, colours and personalisation choices

• App preferences and settings

• Streak and activity information

This information may be synchronised with our backend so that it remains available across your devices.

Nudge AI information

When you use the Nudge assistant, we process:

• Messages you send to Nudge

• Responses generated by Nudge

• Task and planning context needed to answer your request

• Voice transcriptions where you choose to use voice input

• Recent conversation history used to provide continuity

Nudge conversation history may be retained so that the assistant can remember the context of previous conversations.

Do not include highly sensitive information in Nudge unless it is necessary for the help you are requesting.

Technical information

We may process limited technical information required to operate and secure the service, including:

• Device and operating-system information

• App version

• Authentication events

• Network and synchronisation status

• Basic diagnostic and error information

• Feature usage information used to understand whether app functions are working correctly

We do not use this information for targeted advertising.

3. How we use your information

We use information to:

• Create and manage your account

• Save and synchronise your tasks and preferences

• Provide NOW, NEXT and LATER planning

• Operate Smart NOW, Nudge, Just 10 and related features

• Display and manage reminders

• Connect optional calendar features

• Process and verify subscription access

• Provide customer support

• Protect the security and reliability of the service

• Diagnose technical problems

• Comply with legal obligations

• Improve user-facing NowNextLater functionality

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Google Sign-In information

When you use Google Sign-In, NowNextLater may receive your name, email address and Google account identifier.

This information is used only to:

• Authenticate you

• Create and identify your NowNextLater account

• Synchronise information associated with your account

• Provide account support and security

Google Sign-In does not automatically give NowNextLater access to your Google Calendar. Calendar access is requested separately and only when you choose to connect it.

5. Google Calendar information

Information accessed

When you choose to connect Google Calendar, NowNextLater accesses events from your primary Google Calendar only.

The information accessed may include:

• Event title

• Event start and end time

• Whether an event is an all-day event

• An opaque Google Calendar event identifier

NowNextLater does not access:

• Event descriptions

• Attendee lists

• Event locations

• Attachments

• Google Calendar access-control lists

• Calendar sharing permissions

• Gmail messages

• Google Drive files

• Google Contacts

• Calendars that you do not own

How Calendar information is used

Calendar information is used to provide visible planning features, including:

• Displaying upcoming Calendar events inside NowNextLater

• Showing how much time is available before the next event

• Helping Smart NOW suggest a task that fits the available time

• Providing limited timing context to Nudge when you actively use Nudge chat

• Creating a new event when you explicitly select Add to calendar

Smart NOW calculations shown on the Home screen use application logic and do not send Calendar information to an AI model.

Adding events to Google Calendar

Initial Calendar connection requests read-only event access.

Additional write access is requested only when you deliberately enable Add tasks to calendar.

When you choose to add a task to Calendar, NowNextLater may send the following information to Google:

• The task title

• An optional task description

• The selected start time

• The selected end time

NowNextLater does not automatically edit or delete existing Google Calendar events.

6. Use of Calendar information by Nudge AI

When Google Calendar is connected and you actively send a message to Nudge, NowNextLater may include limited Calendar context in the request sent for AI processing.

This context is limited to:

• The title of the single next upcoming event that day

• The number of minutes until that event begins

• The amount of free time available before the event

This allows Nudge to provide a relevant user-facing response, such as suggesting a task that can fit before an appointment.

Nudge is not sent:

• Event descriptions

• Attendee information

• Locations

• Attachments

• Your full Calendar agenda

• Events other than the single next upcoming event that day

Calendar context is sent only when you deliberately use Nudge chat. It is not sent to Nudge in the background.

Calendar event information itself is not permanently stored in the NowNextLater database. However, if you or Nudge mention an event title within a conversation, that wording may remain in your Nudge conversation history.

7. Storage of Google Calendar information

Google Calendar events are retrieved directly from Google when required and are not stored as a permanent copy in our database.

NowNextLater may store:

• Encrypted Google OAuth access and refresh credentials

• The Google permissions you have granted

• User-added calendar-feed addresses

• Opaque event identifiers used to associate your own stickers or notes with an event

An opaque event identifier does not itself contain the event title, description or time.

OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest and transmitted through encrypted HTTPS connections.

8. Service providers and data sharing

We use service providers to operate NowNextLater. They process information only where necessary to provide their services.

Google LLC

Google provides:

• Google Sign-In

• Google Calendar authorisation

• Google Calendar API services

• Google Play subscription billing on Android

Apple Inc.

Apple provides:

• Sign in with Apple

• App Store subscription billing on iOS

Emergent

Emergent provides:

• Application and backend hosting

• Network and deployment infrastructure

• The managed database environment used by NowNextLater

• The AI gateway through which Nudge requests are routed

Application traffic may pass through Emergent’s infrastructure.

Encrypted Google OAuth credentials and granted permission information are stored within the Emergent-managed NowNextLater database.

Google Calendar event content is not permanently stored in that database.

OpenAI

OpenAI provides AI processing for the Nudge assistant through Emergent’s AI gateway.

When you actively use Nudge while Calendar is connected, OpenAI may receive the limited next-event title and timing information described above.

OpenAI does not receive your Google OAuth credentials.

OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used to train its models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in. NowNextLater has requested formal confirmation from Emergent regarding the configuration and retention practices applied to requests routed through Emergent’s gateway.

RevenueCat

RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement information needed to determine whether you have an active trial or subscription.

This may include:

• Store purchase identifiers

• Subscription status

• Product purchased

• Renewal and expiry information

• An app-specific user identifier

RevenueCat does not receive your Google Calendar event data or Google OAuth credentials.

Legal and security disclosures

We may disclose information where reasonably necessary:

• To comply with applicable law or a valid legal request

• To protect the security of NowNextLater or its users

• To investigate fraud, misuse or security incidents

• As part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, subject to appropriate protections and any consent required by law

We do not share Google user data with advertisers, data brokers or information resellers.

We do not use Google user data for targeted, personalised, interest-based or retargeted advertising.

9. Google API Services Limited Use compliance

The use of information received from Google Workspace APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

NowNextLater uses Google Workspace API information only to provide or improve visible, user-facing features within NowNextLater.

NowNextLater does not use Google Workspace API information to:

• Develop, train or improve a generalised or non-personalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning model

• Train a personalised AI model

• Serve advertising

• Create advertising profiles

• Determine creditworthiness

• Make lending decisions

• Sell data

• Supply data to data brokers or information resellers

Limited Calendar context supplied to Nudge is used only as request context to generate the individual user-facing response requested by that user.

Google Workspace API information is not used to create permanent datasets or databases for AI training.

10. Subscriptions and payments

NowNextLater subscriptions are processed by Apple’s App Store or Google Play, depending on your device.

NowNextLater does not receive or store your full debit-card or credit-card details.

RevenueCat helps us verify subscription status and provide subscription access across the app.

Cancelling or deleting your NowNextLater account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must also be managed through the relevant store account.

Remove references to Stripe unless the live production service still accepts payments through Stripe.

11. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:

• Encrypted HTTPS connections

• Encryption of stored Google OAuth credentials

• Authentication and access controls

• Restricted access to production systems

• Separation of user accounts

• Revocation and removal of Calendar credentials when Calendar is disconnected

No internet service can guarantee absolute security. You should protect your device, account credentials and email account.

12. Data retention

We retain account and planning information while your account remains active or for as long as needed to provide the service.

Nudge conversation history may be retained to provide conversation continuity and long-term memory.

Google Calendar events are retrieved on demand and are not permanently stored in the NowNextLater database.

Encrypted Google OAuth credentials are retained only while Google Calendar remains connected.

Some limited information may be retained where reasonably necessary to:

• Comply with legal obligations

• Resolve disputes

• Prevent fraud or abuse

• Protect the security of the service

• Maintain essential transaction or subscription records

13. Disconnecting Google Calendar

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time through NowNextLater’s Settings.

When you disconnect:

• NowNextLater requests revocation of the Google authorisation

• Stored Google Calendar OAuth credentials are deleted

• NowNextLater stops accessing your Google Calendar

You can also remove NowNextLater’s access through your Google Account’s connected-app settings.

14. Account and data deletion

You can permanently delete your NowNextLater account from within the app:

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account

You may also request account deletion through our public Delete Account webpage or by emailing:

support@nownextlater.net

When deleting an account, we may ask you to verify ownership of the email address associated with it.

Deleting your account removes the personal information and planning data associated with the account, including stored Google OAuth credentials, subject to any limited retention required by law, security or fraud-prevention obligations.

15. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

• Request access to your personal information

• Correct inaccurate information

• Request deletion

• Restrict or object to certain processing

• Request a copy of information you provided

• Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent

• Complain to the relevant data-protection authority

We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

16. Children

NowNextLater is intended for adults aged 18 and over.

It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information so that we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.

17. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when NowNextLater’s features, service providers or legal obligations change.

We will update the “Last updated” date when material changes are made. Where appropriate, we may also notify users within the app or by email.
